Dear friends,
Hmm… I want to ask you something.
When was the last time you gave yourself permission to slow down?
Not next week. Not after the deadline. Not when the kids are older or the promotion finally comes through.
Ahora. Right now. En este momento.

I've been sitting with two women lately — different careers, different seasons of life — and yet carrying the exact same weight.
One is a few years from a major life transition she has been dreaming of. Successful by every possible measure. Respected. Accomplished. And yet she told me:
"I want to slow down. I want to be present. I just don't know how to stop."
The other is a mother of young children, a breadwinner, a leader rising in her career — running on fumes. Not because she is weak. Because she has been strong for everyone, for so long, that she forgot to save something for herself.
"I just want to find joy in the now," she told me. "But I can't seem to get there."
Dos mujeres. Una misma verdad. Two women. One same truth.

The world tells us to do more. To push harder. To earn rest before we take it.
Y nosotras lo creÃmos. And we believed it.
We built lives around achieving, fixing, producing — and called it success. And it is. But when the drive that got you here becomes the thing keeping you from being here — fully, presently, joyfully here — that is worth pausing for.
Eso vale la pena pausar.

What we've been practicing together — these two women and I — is not a strategy or a system.
It's something quieter. Something braver.
Giving themselves permission to slow down. To regulate their nervous system. To access calm. To meet themselves with compassion instead of pressure.
This is what mental fitness makes possible — not more hustle dressed up in pretty language, but the genuine inner capacity to notice the sprint, to witness it without judgment, and to choose differently.
En este momento, no hay prisa. In this moment, there is no hurry.

Before I let you go — I want to plant something with you.
Somewhere between all the roles you carry and all the people who need you, there is a version of you that is simply… waiting to breathe.
Ella te está esperando. She is waiting for you.
If she could whisper one thing to you today — esa versión tuya que está esperando — what do you think she would say?
Write back and tell me. Your answer might just become the permission slip someone else needs to hear. 🌿
With Gratitude,
